Pinned topic TS3310 - reset remaining cleanings

‏2012-08-02T16:07:12Z |
I have a TS3310 LTO4 library and want to insert a new cleaning tape, but with a cleaning label that was already used. How do I reset the remaining cleanings back to 50 in the library? If I can't, does someone have a workaround?

Shoot, I'd settle for just being able to see how many cleanings have been used on a tape.

Did you ever get a response for this? I've got a datacenter that ordered cleaning cartridges but the labels didn't increment and they are all the same. Every one shows 0 cleans left.

Other fix would be to order new labels, but looking for something that will work ASAP.

Found out from my vendor that I have to get new labels as you CANNOT reset the number of cleanings. So, we had to order new labels.

I went to the following site and created my own labels and then printed them out, the library was able to read the barcodes and reset the # of cleanings to 50 for the new tape. I could not use the old label as the # of cleanings remaining had a 0 output.
