I was asked the other day whether any parallel scripting tools exist for Linux and this seems the perfect forum to gain information. I believe the question to be centred around whether commands can be ran on multiple Linux servers at the same time, without having to type them multiple times - not too much to ask.
I've heard that there's a multi-threaded option of make (-j) and possibly that could be used in tandem with something like dsh to do parallel scripting and commands - does anyone have any other views of the tools that might be out there and their pros and cons? Especially related to reliability, performance and security?
