Pinned topic NoMoreFloatingIps error

‏2013-05-01T14:24:59Z |

Hi,

I am using the Openstack REST api to create a server instance which works fine.

I later try to allocate a floating IP to this server instance and I receive the following error:

{"itemNotFound": {"message": "NoMoreFloatingIps_Remote: Zero floating ips available.\n
Traceback (most recent call last):\n\n  File \"/usr/lib/python2.6/site-packages/nova/openstack/common/rpc/amqp.py\",

This was working for me before.

Is there something I need to do on my side or is it an indication of a global shortage of IPs to allocate?

Regards,

Yoram

We have added more floating IPs into the pool. We were very low and that could have been causing the issue. They should be available in the next couple of hours.

Also check and ensure your IPs are not above the quota limits for your OpenStack project allocation.

    Omnie,

we are still having problems (only 1 floating IPs available) on our project "Pentland", on yellow zone.

    Can you help us?

    Thanks,
    Andrea

    Hi Andrea,

10 is the max quantity of floating IPs a project could have, but right now there are not enough IPs for all the projects.

We are working on adding more IPs to the pool, I'll keep you posted whenever we have more available.

    Regards!

    J Reyes
