    Hi Russell,

The download has only Enterprise server edition product available. And how to apply the trial license ? I believe the trial license will be automatically applied while install process. Please advise.

    db2licm -l
Product name:                     "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"
    License type:                     "License not registered"
    Expiry date:                      "License not registered"
    Product identifier:               "db2ese"
    Version information:              "10.5"

    Hi Rajesh,

You are correct in that the trial license is automatically applied when you install the trial.  The default is actually the Advanced Enterprise Server Edition trial, although the trial licenses for all the editions are included if you wanted to try one of the our other editions (eg. AWSE, ESE, WSE).  If you wanted to do that, you would need to do a db2licm -a <*_t.lic> for the specific edition you want, using the *_t.lic file found in the db2/license subdirectory of the trial image.

Can you please let me know from where you downloaded the trial you installed, the file you installed, platform, and if it was a new install vs update of an existing product?

After perform a "New install" and restarting, this is what we see:

    db2licm -l
Product name:                "DB2 Advanced Enterprise Server Edition"
    License type:                   "Trial"
    Expiry date:                      "09/25/2013"
    Product identifier:           "db2aese"
    Version information:        "10.5"

    Thanks,

    Vivien

    Thank you.

I was using db2 component from Warehouse Component Trial. The initial DB2 Data Server Trial download for Linux was corrupt and hence i opted for warehouse component, which has only ese license included. It seems IBM has fixed the issue and i was able to download Data server trial for linux, which has all license files.

    db2licm -l
Product name:                     "DB2 Advanced Workgroup Server Edition"
    License type:                     "Trial"
    Expiry date:                      "09/25/2013"
    Product identifier:               "db2awse"
    Version information:              "10.5"
Max amount of memory (GB):        "128"

    Hi Folks,

DB2 BLU works with only 64 Bit Editions that too except on Windows.  Make sure you are trying in non-windows platform.  As the BLU features are not yet available for Windows version and for 32 Bit editions.

    Best Regards,

    Kiran.M.K.

    Hi,

The Column Organized tables can only be created in AESE,AWSE and Dev Editions.  This feature will not work in any other editions.

Please refere the below link for the features availability in v10.5 BLU.

    Hello,

I'm trying the same trial but the versión of the license installed is not Advanced Enterprise Server Edition, I'm already downloading again the file:

    [db2inst1@db2warehouse01 ~]$ db2licm -l

Nombre del producto:              "DB2 Enterprise Server Edition"
    Tipo de licencia:                 "Prueba"
    Fecha de caducidad:               "06/07/2014"
    Identificador del producto:            "db2ese"
    Información de versión:           "10.5"

The file is ISW_LNX64_SERVER.tar.gz and it would be for DB2 Warehouse Edition Trial, can I install the correct license or do I have to reinstall all the trial?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Cindy,

Can we still download the pre-packaged SLES iso with db2 10.5 (BLU)?

    Regards
