Little type: "You can convert 512 byte blocks to blocks" should say "You can convert 512 byte blocks to bytes" ;-) <br /> Anyway, great post. <br /> As always ;-) <br /> Cheers, Gabriel

very useful article but if you are a lazy person and just want to quickly convert between bytes there are plenty of online converters on the web that can do it for you, check this one you can even convert between such monsters as petabytes and exabytes

Hey Brian, <div>&nbsp;</div> This is really useful information. Thanks. <div>&nbsp;</div> Would you consider showing us how to do the conversion from Megabytes to Gigabytes in a script? For example, using the output of 'getconf DISK_SIZE /dev/hdisk0'. (I prefer to use getconf instead of the bootinfo -s command, as the latter has been deprecated). <div>&nbsp;</div> Anthony
