Large chunks of succulent lobster lightly tossed with chilled mayonnaise and nestled between a sweet-butter grilled hot dog roll.   Ahhh….the Lobster Roll…a true New England experience.

And as the lobster rolls represents New England Cuisine, one of the most powerful representations of Maximo is its ease of customization.   Throughout the BiLog entries, a number of ways you can customize Maximo reporting have been detailed including

1.  Record Limits.  Defining the maximum records reports can execute against as a performance enabler.

2.  Report List Portlet.  Configuring listings of most frequently accessed reports on Starts Center for Ease of use.

3.  QBR Edit.  Determining if your users can edit QBR reports that they have created – but that other security groups have access to via property setting mxe.report.adhoc.editWithGroupAccess

There are many more Customization features, including mxe.email.content.type in Version 7.5.    While this is not a specific report property setting, it impacts the way your users receive text while emailing reports as highlighted here.

If you are scheduling and emailing reports, you can enter comments in the Report’s Request Page that are then sent with the emailed report to the specified recipients.  If you enter text as highlighted by the red arrow using carriage returns, the display will vary depending on the property setting of mxe.email.content.type.

If the value is the default of text/html, the users receive the email comments in this form

However, if you update the value to text/plain, the users receive the email comments with the entered return values as shown here
