Good set of FAQs there. For anyone reading, I've opened this up on my blog - so if there is anything else you want to ask about SVC - please do :<div>&nbsp;</div> https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/blogs/storagevirtualization/entry/svc_q_a_open_house4

I hope this is the right place... <div>&nbsp;</div> We have a very backlevelled SVC 4.1.0.3 and have a DS5020 to connect. <div>&nbsp;</div> Can we present this to the SVC before upgrading to 4.3.1.11? <div>&nbsp;</div> Reason being we need to use the storage ASAP. <div>&nbsp;</div> thanks <br />

Mark, yes the DS5020 can be attached and should work (the DS5020 uses the same multipathing codes as the DS4000 series). However, since SVC 4.1 stopped being supported Sep 2009, you won't have support officially until you complete your upgrade to SVC 4.3. I suggest you contact your local IBM rep or Business Partner to help you plan your upgrade. <div>&nbsp;</div> Good luck! <div>&nbsp;</div> -- Tony
