Resource Measurement Facility (RMF) collects data for z/OS and sysplex environments to monitor, tune and configure the system.


System Display and Search Facility (SDSF) technology uses z/OSMF to monitor and manage a sysplex in JES2 and JES3 environments.


z/OS Workload Management (WLM) monitors the system and adapts processing to set goals and manage multiple workloads.


z/OS Management Facility (z/OSMF) provides a web-based interface to manage your z/OS systems through a browser from any location.

Capacity provisioning

Manages central processor, zIIP capacity, control activation of On/Off Capacity on Demand, and changes to defined or group capacity.

The Hardware Configuration Definition (HCD) interface helps configure a processor's channel subsystem and OS running on the processor.


The Hardware Configuration Manager (HCM) is a PC-based client/server interface to HCD.

Java for z/OS

JES2 spool migration
