The Java accessibility checklist has merged with the IBM Software accessibility checklist. The Java checklist is no longer available. Java developers and testers should use the IBM Software accessibility checklist for all accessibility compliance.

Note: The techniques for making software applications accessible are the same for Java applications. For techniques that require a Java specific implementation to meet accessibility compliance, the Software checklist has been updated to integrate Java examples where applicable. These Java specific examples are listed on the Software checklist checkpoint pages in the "Examples for Java developers" section. For checkpoints that do not contain Java specific examples, follow the techniques and examples listed under "Examples of required techniques". Some checkpoints also require additional test techniques and test tools to validate Java applications. In these cases, the "Examples for Java developers" page includes Java specific test information in "Required test techniques" section.
