You must specify the information that the IBM® Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool uses when it creates the
IBM Content Navigator web application.
Before you begin
This task assumes that you have a configuration profile open
in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment
Tool.
Procedure
To configure the IBM Content Navigator web
application:
-
Open the following task in your configuration profile: Configure the IBM Content
Navigator Web Application.
-
Complete the task to configure the IBM Content Navigator web
application by using the values that you entered in the Worksheet for configuring the IBM Content Navigator web application.
Important: If you are deploying
IBM Content Navigator to a highly available environment, such as a cluster on
WebSphere® Application
Server, you must make the
IBM Content Navigator configuration directory a shared network directory.
Additionally, all of the nodes in the cluster must have read/write access to the directory during
configuration and in your runtime environment. However, if you use
IBM
Daeja® ViewONE Professionalor
IBM
Daeja ViewONE Virtual, the Daeja
ViewONE cache and log files for each node should be stored in a local directory and not in the
shared configuration directory to improve performance and help troubleshooting.
-
Click Next to run the task.
If you are manually running the tasks in the IBM Content Navigator Configuration and Deployment Tool, you can take
one of the following actions:
- Click Run Task to run the task now. This option is
recommended because it makes it easier to troubleshoot and resolve problems if they
occur.
- Wait until all of the tasks are complete and then click Run All
Tasks to run all of the tasks that are required to configure and deploy
the web application.
