Password expiration

An alert is shown next to the user name if the password for that account is set to expire soon.

A yellow exclamation point (!) displayed to the right of the User Name in the banner indicates that the user password is set to expire within seven days. This (!) is shown for 10 seconds following login. Hover over the (!) to display a tool tip containing additional information.
Important: If the number of days until expiration is 1, then the password expires within 24 hours and should be changed immediately.

If the password has expired, then in addition to the expiration message, a window with fields for changing the password appears. You can use these fields to reset your password. If the password is reset successfully, a confirmation message is displayed.

If there was a problem resetting the password, an error message that explains the problem is displayed.

The window for resetting the expired password does not appear if you are locked out of the account because you exceeded the maximum number of failed attempts with the wrong password. In that case, you must have an administrator unlock the account.
