Use the following topics to learn how to manage your users.
Working with user accounts
Most user administration must be performed using Rational® Directory Administration.
See the documentation for that product for information about creating
and deleting users, importing users, and so on.
Setting up home pages for users
Users with the process admin privilege or the HOME_PAGE_ADMIN_ROLE
(the report_builder privilege by default) can create,
assign, and manage home pages for users through the User interface.
Working with user privileges
Each Rational Change
user has a set of privileges. These privileges determine, among other
things, whether a user can transition a change request (CR) and which
attributes can be modified.
Defining the Message of the Day
Use the Message of the Day feature to send messages to
users. For example, you can send a message that you are shutting down
the database at a certain time. The message is displayed in the login
dialog box.
Exporting users to the Rational Directory Server
You can create a text file of users that other applications
can use. This file is in XML format and is used to export users to
the IBM® Rational Directory Server.
Disabling the "forgot password" feature
Users can use the "forgot password" feature to reset their
passwords from the Login dialog box. By default,
this feature is enabled. However, if you are concerned about security
or if you are running the IBM Rational Directory Server in
the corporate mode, you can disable the feature.
