Disabling the "forgot password" feature

Users can use the "forgot password" feature to reset their passwords from the Login dialog box. By default, this feature is enabled. However, if you are concerned about security or if you are running the IBM® Rational® Directory Server in the corporate mode, you can disable the feature.

Procedure

  1. Start an Admin session.
  2. On the Action Panel, click System Administration.
  3. In the System Administration button bar, click the General tab.
  4. Under Sending Email, clear Show 'Forgot Your Password' link, and then click Apply.
