Inspector installation

Administrators are responsible for installing, deploying, and supporting users of this data stewardship application.

The InfoSphere® MDM Inspector data stewardship application supports the maintenance of virtual MDM data. Use the Inspector application to resolve data quality issues, review member records, create, edit, update, or delete relationships between entities, and make appropriate adjustments to correct data errors.

When you install the application, IBM® Installation Manager automatically deploys the application to the target web application server. The installation process creates property files that control the behavior of application. These property files can be manually edited if necessary. The installer also sets security for web applications (for example, setting https protocol and secure server port).

If any components of InfoSphere MDM are already installed on the machine on which you are installing the Inspector application, use the Modify MDM installation procedure instead.

If you are upgrading from a previous version of InfoSphere MDM Inspector, make sure that you save a copy of your property files for reference.

To access InfoSphere MDM Inspector after it has been installed and started, navigate your web browser to the following URL (replacing <hostname> and <port> with the appropriate values): https://<hostname>:<port>/inspector/common/login.ihtml
