To send SMS asset notifications to cell phones, you must
set up the mobile phone carriers to receive the messages.
Before you begin
You can find most SMS email extensions by typing this query
into a search engine on the internet:
carrier email
extension, where
carrier is
the name of the mobile phone service provider. If you are unable to
find a specific email extension by a search, you can contact the mobile
phone provider to obtain the SMS email extensions. These email extensions
are provided by the carrier and cannot be customized.
Remember: If a mobile
phone carrier does not support the SMS email extension format, SMS
notifications cannot be sent to the users who have chosen to use that
mobile phone carrier.
