Supervising
As a supervisor, you can use the Supervisor Workspace to manage your workload, and assess
the ability of your organization and care managers to take on more clients. You can manage care
manager capacity and assign clients to care managers based on their available capacity.
Supervisor Workspace
Use the Supervisor workspace to see a snapshot of your daily work. You can see the number of client referrals who are not assigned to care managers, and the available capacity of your organization unit and individual care managers. You can evaluate the performance of programs, and see priority tasks that you need to complete.
Managing client referrals
Clients who are referred to your organization for care management can enter IBM Watson Care manager from both internal and external sources. Clients can be manually referred to your organization unit, or can be received from an external system via an API, or via a cohort from an external system. As a supervisor, you must accept or reject referrals. Your workflow is different depending on whether the client is active or inactive.
Managing unassigned clients
If organization units are enabled for your organization, you can monitor clients who are not being actively care managed in your organization unit and who have no open referral. You can assign one or more clients to a care team user (who has at least one assigned role) or you can deactivate the client in the application.
Modifying a care team member's capacity
If organization units are enabled for your organization, you can modify the capacity of any active care team member who as at least one assigned role. You might need to do this if the maximum number of clients that they can safely and effectively manage increases or decreases, due to their availability, working hours, or skills.
Reversing the deletion of a client
Care team members can delete a client from Watson Care Manager for example, if a client requests that their data is removed from the system under data privacy regulations, or if your organization has work flows that require the removal of personal data. If a client was deleted in error or if the client requests that their data be restored, as a supervisor, you can undo the deletion and restore the client to their previous state in the application.
Monitoring clients' program status transitions
In the Supervisor workspace, the Enrollment Status card can change dynamically to show you how many clients moved into a selected program status within the last 30 days, for example, Enrolled, Not Enrolled, or Pending. You can track the movement of client through the different program statuses.
Monitoring my tasks
You can see all of your current tasks in the My Tasks page. You can see the priority, client name, category, status, and the due date and time for each task. Tasks that you work on can be in different statuses depending on your progress in completing the task. You can create, edit, close, or delete a task.
