- Ensure that at least one FileNet® P8 repository is defined for
the target FileNet P8 domain. For more information, see Connecting and configuring IBM FileNet Content Manager repositories.
- Create a desktop or modify an existing desktop for use by the FileNet administrator. For more information, see Defining desktops.
- The object store that you specify as the desktop Authentication
Repository must have a server type of FileNet Content Manager. The Content Platform Engine Administration feature accesses the
FileNet P8 domain that is associated with the
Authentication Repository.
- Optional: Limit access to the desktop by assigning specific users who can access
the desktop. By limiting access to the desktop, you can control which users in the organization can
access the Content Platform Engine Administration feature.
Users of the Content Platform Engine Administration feature must have
appropriate privileges for the object stores and workflow systems that are managed by the FileNet P8 domain. You can use object store and workflow system
administration groups to control access to the system.
- Configure the desktop to display the Content Platform Engine
Administration feature.
- Verify that the Content Platform Engine Administration feature is
available by logging on to the desktop that you created or modified and starting the administration
console.
