Retrieving an Object from a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository

Access to the dialog box for retrieving IBM® SPSS® Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository objects is available from most Open file dialog boxes as well as from the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository submenu on the File menu. See the topic Accessing Dialog Boxes to Store or Retrieve IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository Objects for more information.

Note: Once an object has been retrieved, you can modify it and store an updated version to the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repositorysimply by selecting File>Save or clicking the Save icon on the toolbar. You may also choose to modify the object and save it to the file system, using Save As, without storing it to the IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository. Storing to a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository and saving to the file system are completely independent operations.

Other users can retrieve locked objects but they cannot store them. The lock is released when the object is closed (for instance, closing a dataset containing a retrieved data file) or when the current session ends.

Keywords. Displays any keywords associated with the currently selected object.
