Connecting to a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository

The Repository Server dialog box allows you to connect to, and log in to, a IBM® SPSS® Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository. This allows you to store objects to, and retrieve objects from, a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository. Any existing IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository connection terminates when the new one is established.

Connection settings are specific to each site or installation. For specific IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository and port information, contact your local system administrator.

Repository. Enter the name or IP address of a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository, or select one from a list of those recently used. You can connect to only one IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository at a time.

Port. Port used to host the connection, typically 8080 by default.

Set Credentials. Specifies whether the user will provide the login credentials (user ID and password). Use this option to login with different credentials from those used to login to the current machine. If not checked, single sign-on will be used. Single sign-on allows users to connect to a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository without explicitly providing a user ID and password. The necessary authentication is performed with the user's existing credentials on the current machine--obtained, for example, from Windows Active Directory.

Ensure secure connection. Specifies whether a secure SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) connection should be used. SSL is a commonly used protocol for managing the security of message transmission on the Internet. To Connect to a IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository

From the menus choose:

File > IBM SPSS Collaboration and Deployment Services Repository > Connect...
