Installing WebSphere Liberty operator on public clouds

You can install WebSphere® Liberty operator on any public cloud that has a supported version of Red Hat® OpenShift® Container Platform (OCP), or that has a supported version of Kubernetes for a non-OCP Kubernetes cluster.

If you want to deploy and manage containerized Liberty applications on Red Hat OpenShift clusters created on infrastructure managed by IBM Cloud Satellite, see the Using Websphere Liberty Operator (WLO) with IBM Cloud Satellite blog post.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the public cloud.
  2. Set up either a Red Hat OpenShift cluster that meets the OpenShift Container Platform requirements, or a Kubernetes cluster that meets the Kubernetes requirements.
  3. Install WebSphere Liberty operator.
