Custom installation, two server topology fast path

Use these fast path check lists to track the tasks to prepare your environment and install Jazz™ for Service Management on two servers, including preparing your server environments and setting up the servers.

Prepare the database server environment check list

Ensure that your target environment is ready for a custom installation. See Preparing your environment for a custom installation.

☐	IBM Prerequisite Scanner	Prepare your environment before you run Prerequisite Scanner. See Prerequisite Scanner prerequisites.
☐	IBM Cognos® Content Store	If you do not have an existing installation of DB2, install it. Configure database instance for Jazz for Service Management and configure it for access and TCP/IP or secure communications. See Setting up DB2 as a root user or Setting up DB2 as a non-root user.

Set up the database server check list

The Jazz for Service Management database server manages the DB2 database instance that optionally contains the IBM Cognos Content Store.

Set up the composite server check list

The Jazz for Service Management composite server manages the integration services applications that are installed into the WebSphere profile. This server can have one, some, or all integration services that are installed depending upon the integration services that your organization needs.

☐	Dashboard Application Services Hub Tivoli Common Reporting	(Optional for Tivoli Common Reporting. Only required if you want to install Tivoli Common Reporting in a Dashboard Application Services Hub environment.) Deploy Dashboard Application Services Hub to the WebSphere Application Server. To install Dashboard Application Services Hub by using: Deploy Dashboard Application Services Hub to the WebSphere Application Server. Install and configure the Dashboard Application Services Hub feature by using Installation Manager. The installation also creates the Jazz for Service Management WebSphere profile, if it does not exist. See Application server: Installing Dashboard Application Services Hub.
