If you are an IBM® Rational® Test Control Panel system
administrator and you want to implement domain-level security, you
can create and assign security tokens to individual users.
About this task
Before or after enabling domain-level security in Rational Test Control Panel,
you have the option to create and assign security tokens to individual
users.
Note: After enabling domain-level security, Rational Integration Tester agents
and proxies will not be able to register with Rational Test Control Panel unless
you assign security tokens to them.
You
can assign security tokens to individual Rational Integration Tester agents
and proxies or to groups of them.
Procedure
- Log into Rational Test Control Panel.
- Click the Administration navigation
link.
Alternatively, click the Administration icon
on the Home page.
The Administration page is displayed.
- Click the Security tab.
The Security tab
is displayed.
- Under Long-term tokens, click the
required user name in the User list.
- In the Description field, enter
a description for the security token.
Note: The description
should state why the token is being created.
- Click Create.
Results
A security token is created for the specified users and
displayed on the list table under the Description field.
Note: If
you want to delete a security token, click the red X button
next to the token. A confirmation prompt is displayed.
