If the built-in security model of Rational Test Control Panel is being used, you can create new Rational Test Control Panel users if you are a Rational Test Control Panel system administrator.
The new user is created.
A status message is displayed to confirm this.
The new user can use the user name and password (if specified) to log into Rational Test Control Panel.
If you are using Rational Test Control Panel 8.5.1.1 or later and you want to enable domain-level security, you can create one agent user for each Rational Integration Tester agent and proxy that you want to use. Alternatively, depending on the number of agents and proxies that you need to use, you might want to create subgroups of agents and proxies and assign one agent user to each subgroup. You can then assign that agent user to at least one domain and assign the API user role to that user. This will enable you to revoke a security token for a particular agent or proxy or a subgroup of agents or proxies without having to revoke the security tokens of all agents and proxies registered with Rational Test Control Panel.
For information about how to specify that a new user (or an existing user) is a Rational Test Control Panel system administrator, refer to User modification.
