Monitoring events from various sources
IBM® Business Monitor can monitor business events from any application. Business data from any application can be mediated into events that IBM Business Monitor can read, using products such as IBM BPM, previous versions of Process Server, IBM Adapters, WebSphere® Business Events, IBM Operational Decision Manager, or IBM Integration Bus. IBM Business Monitor can also monitor events from products like CICS® and IMS™.
You can also use IBM Business Monitor event emitter services, REST event emitter API and JMS event emitter, to emit events from source applications.

IBM Business Monitor can send and receive events from various applications through IBM adapters. Some adapters require mediation while others can easily be set up for monitoring without using a mediation product such as IBM Business Process Manager or WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus. - IBM CICS
Customer Information Control System (CICS) Transaction Server is IBM's general-purpose transaction processing software for z/OS. It is a powerful application server that is used for transaction-processing in both large and small enterprises, supporting large transaction volumes with a fast and consistent response time. CICS Transaction Server for z/OS version 4.1 also supports event processing, which introduces integration capabilities with IBM Business Monitor. - IBM Filenet P8
IBM FileNet P8 4.0 provides business process management (BPM) services for business process management applications. The FileNet® P8 process engine records events associated with running processes into the P8 event log database and into the event logs in the process engine database. The FileNet P8 BPM Common Base Event adapter EAR file deployed on WebSphere reads this data and converts the process engine events to Common Base Events, and then sends the converted events to the IBM Business Monitor server through the CEI layer. - IMS applications

To implement sensor solutions within business networks, you can use WebSphere Sensor Events, which is a server-based product that system integrators use. When integrated with WebSphere Sensor Events, IBM Business Monitor can provide the essential information that helps identify and correct business performance problems within a business network.
