After your IBM® Control
Center user
key is configured, you can reset the user key whenever needed.
About this task
To perform this task, you need to be an IBM Control
Center administrator. To reset your user
key:
Procedure
- Stop all your IBM Control
Center event
processors (EPs).
- In the installation_directory/bin directory, run the
following command:

configUserKey.bat -reset |
configUserKey.sh -reset |
The system prompts to ask whether you want to reset your user key.
- Type Yes and press Enter.
- When the system prompts, type the database password and press
Enter.
- When the system prompts for user key reset confirmation, enter Y to
confirm.
- Type the new user key and press Enter.
- To reconfigure the database connection, keystore, or email server password, in the
installation_directory/bin directory, run the following
command:

- In a high availability environment, run the following command for all other EPs:

configUserKey.sh -sync |
- Restart all EPs in the cluster.
