Viewing the Virtual Trusted Platform Module settings

You can view the advanced Virtual Trusted Platform Module (VTPM) settings by using the Hardware Management Console (HMC).

The HMC Classic interface is not supported in Hardware Management Console (HMC) Version 8.7.0, or later. The functions that were previously available in the HMC Classic interface are now available in the HMC Enhanced+ interface.

For more information about viewing the VTPM settings, see Changing advanced partition settings.

To view the advanced VTPM settings, complete the following steps:

  1. In the navigation pane, open Systems Management and click Servers.
  2. Select the server in the work pane.
  3. From the Tasks menu, click Properties.
  4. Click the Advanced tab.
  5. Select Virtual Trusted Platform Module from the list. You can now view the following VTPM settings:

    • VTPM version (this is not related to the Trusted Computing Group Trusted Platform Module version numbering)
    • Trusted system key length (in bits)
