Sterling B2B Integrator, Version 5.2.5 is available. For detailed information about this release, including enhancements, fixes, and known issues, see the following sections.

2. WHAT'S NEW

Sterling B2B Integrator contains the following product enhancements:


Additional Microsoft Windows and Internet Explorer versions supported
Sterling B2B Integrator now supports the following:
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition R2 64-bit, including any patches or service packs. (Requires Sterling B2B Integrator V5.2.5, using the Sterling B2B Integrator V5.2.5 installation media released in April 2015, or higher.)
  • Microsoft Windows Client 8.1
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 11

EBICS Updates
EBICS Banking Server now supports German specifications.

In addition, EBICS Client and EBICS Banking Server now supports EBICS specification version 2.5.

Standards Processing Engine Integration
Standards Processing Engine is a high-performance, modular translation solution that supports WebSphere® Transformation Extender and XSLT maps, simplifies onboarding, and delivers one of the best solutions available for HIPAA document processing. The integration of Sterling B2B Integrator and Standards Processing Engine extends these features to Sterling B2B Integrator users.

Health Check Tool
HealthCheck is a utility for IBM® Sterling B2B Integrator. You can use HealthCheck to identify and analyze issues, errors, or incorrect configurations in Sterling B2B Integrator.

Advanced B2B Communications Integration
B2B Advanced Communications provides secure, optimized, and dynamic end-to-end information flows supporting the viewing of a single exchange, configuring and managing of trading partners, and support for both AS2 and AS4 protocols.

Services and Adapters
Several services and adapters have been moved to retired status with this release. For more information click here.


Sterling File Gateway 2.2.5
  • Mass replay and redeliver capability has been added
  • EBICS Search has been enhanced

Shared Session Limits
Shared session limits cabability has been added. See the Sterling B2B Integrator Knowledge Center for more information.


Custom User Exits
  • Active Directory Sync - use to manage your user accounts with Active Directory instead of the Sterling B2B Integrator user interface. See User account user exits for more information.
  • Mailbox - use custom code to perform additional functions. See Mailbox user exits for more information.
  • FTP and SFTP - Additional FTP user exits have been added as well as new SFTP user exits. See Service and adapter user exits for more information.

These user exits should be configured by IBM Services during an IBM Services Customer Engagement. Contact your IBM Sales Representative for more information.


Support for CD:PLEX
The Connect:Direct Server adapter (CDSA) has been updated to allow a connection between Sterling B2B Integrator and a complex remote Connect:Direct zOS node (CD:PLEX). Previously, CDSA could only connect to a non-PLEX remote zOS node.

3. DISK SPACE REQUIREMENTS AND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
=====================================================================
Sterling B2B Integrator, Version 5.2.5 requires approximately 3 MB for the Installation wizard files, 2 GB for the Sterling B2B Integrator JAR file and 1.25 GB for the Sterling B2B Integrator patch JAR file.

Additional installation space requirements include:
  • Minimum requirement for memory spaces (RAM) 4 GB
  • Minimum requirement for disk space 15 GB

Important: Only JDK 7 is supported as of this release. For information on upgrading your JDK, see:
The following stack updates have been made in this release:
Added support for the following items:
  • SQL Server 2012 database
  • DB2® 10.5 database
  • iSeries® V7R2 operating system
Removed support for the following items that are supported in Sterling B2B Integrator 5.2.4.2:
  • JDK 6
  • Windows 2003 operating system
  • iSeries V5R4 operating system
  • iSeries V6R1 operating system
  • HP-UX 11.23 PA-RISC operating system
  • HP-UX 11.31 PA-RISC operating system
  • SQL Server 2005 database
  • DB2 database for iSeries V5R4
  • DB2 database for iSeries V6R1
