APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After downloading the Synergy 7.1 installation image from
  Passport Advantage, attempts to create a secondary installation
  by installing it to a binary-incompatible system fails when the
  steps outlined in Appendix B of the Synergy Installation Guide
  for UNIX are followed.
  
  Here is an example of the error message when attempting to
  install a Solaris image on a Linux host:

  This fails because the the references to ../linux are invalid;
  they files referenced are not included with the downloaded
  image.
  
  The workaround is to log in to a binary-compatible system, mount
  the target filesystem, and perform the installation there.
