Error description

  • If documents are loaded into WSRR with a large number of
elements, these can cause performance issues when they come to
be indexed or retrieved for Text Search. It may be that these
elements (or other object types and attributes) are deemed to
    not necessarily be searchable.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When performing operations using the text search index a very
large query can be generated if a large number of objects match
the criteria of the search. These potentially exceedingly large
queries can result in significant database performance
degradation during the processing of the query. This results in
other database operations being unable to complete whilst the
    database processes the index query.

Typically these large queries are the result of large files such
as XSDs or WSDLs, which when loaded create a large number of
logical objects representing the different components of these
    documents.

In addition, during the indexing operations to add or update
objects into the index, or performing a complete reindex of the
text based documents, timeouts can occur if it takes a large
amount of time to process all the objects that are stored within
    WSRR.
