Problem Description: IBM Tivoli Business Service Manager

TBSM stops process events due to Sybase driver hanging when
connecting to object server causing TBSM
to stops processing events.

Local fix

  • Restart TBSM data server.

* TBSM not reading events from object server as event reader   *
* thread hung at sybase driver.                                *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* The code hang at java/lang/Object.wait called by sybase      *
* driver, this leads to events not being read.                 *
*                                                              *
* next(), close() and getObject() calls to the driver jar are  *
* hanging and now replaced with TimedExecutor. They are now in *
* TimedExecutor to avoid hangs.The new code will only be       *
* activated if property set.                                   *
