Error description

  • Customers installing Datastage 9.1 clients on a windows
    installation running with Non-English locales may have problems
    creating and saving any new jobs via the datastage designer
    client. The following example error is reported when trying to
    save the job:
    
    Cannot find job ROOT
    
    The installation of the clients will show that they have
    successfully installed and no errors reported during the
    install.

    When attempting to save job modifications on any language other
    than English - an empty error message is shown instead of the
    job saving.

    Install APAR JR47525 (which includes this fix)

Temporary fix

  • Temporary workaround is to use environment variable USE_RMI =
    TRUE
