JR45204: DB2EE supports CLOB datatype with max limit to 32K bytes in load operations.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• While loading CLOB data to db2 Database using DB2 EE stage the
  jobs aborts when table has CLOB datatype in it.
  
  In order to address we have added support for writing CLOBS via
  APT_DB2_INLINE_CLOB environment variable.
  
  In addition to the above environment variable, also set the Job
  Property as "Use ASCII Delimited Format=True"
  
  The property will be present at
   (DB2 Enterprise Stage ==> Properties ==> Options ==> Use ASCII
  Delimites Format) and set to TRUE.
  
  This has been limited to 32K bytes so as to transfer the LOB
  inline. In order to use the functionality, the environment
  varaible need to be set.
  
  
  For example:
  APT_DB2_INLINE_CLOB=32000

Problem summary

  In order to address we need to add support for writing clobs in
  DB2 EE.
  
  Limitation:
  Supports loading to LOBs with up to 32k of inline data.
