Abstract
This page describes the minimum system requirements for the hardware and software needed to operate DB2® Content Manager for z/OS® V8.4.1

You can install the following components only on distributed operating systems:

Processors and real storage: DB2 Content Manager for z/OS V8.4.1 operates on any processor that supports z/Architecture®, including zSeries® z800, z890, z900, z990, IBM System z9®, or a comparable processor. The processor must have enough real storage to satisfy the combined requirements of:
- DB2 Universal Database Server
- HTTP server
- z/OS
- Other customer-required applications
DASD: The program directories provide the direct access storage device (DASD) requirements to install DB2 Content Manager for z/OS V8.4.1. The actual DASD requirement that is needed for DB2 Content Manager to maintain customer data in DB2 databases depends on each customer's specific application requirement.
The following table specifies the required software for any computer on which you install the specified DB2 Content Manager for z/OS component.
Important: If you are upgrading from DB2 Content Manager for z/OS Version 8.3 to Version 8.4.1, your client API must be at Version 8.3 fix pack 9 before you upgrade. Alternatively, you can apply PK64318 to your client API before upgrading to DB2 Content Manager for z/OS Version 8.4.1.
