Producers, distributors, retailers and wholesaler of batteries and products containing batteries are responsible by law for their collection and recycling.
IBM's collection and recycling obligation is handled by the Collection and Recycling of Electrical and Electronic Equipment Company or SCRELEC. Fees are paid to SCRELEC according to the weight of batteries placed on the market.
