This forum accompanies the Thinking XML column. This column by computer
engineer and author Uche Ogbuji covers topics regarding design topics
that enhance the value of XML. It includes topics such as metadata and
semantics that touch on the information value of XML formats, and it
talks about techniques for effective alignment of XML into applications.
The column addresses programmers and focuses on development tools and
techniques that put XML to work collecting and navigating the knowledge
latent in data, whether in corporate databases or on the Web itself.
