IBM® XL C/C++ for Linux is a highly advanced optimizing compiler for selected Linux distributions and is available in 3 variants.
The XL C/C++ for Linux trial is a fully functional compiler product available for an evaluation period of 60 days. Click the Download button on the right and select "Trial Edition" to download.
Starting from V13.1.4, XL C/C++ for Linux Community Edition (on little endian distributions) is available for download and deployment. This compiler product is a no-charge product for developers and partners who have lightweight production requirements and do not require official IBM support. While the community edition embodies most of the core features of the fully warranted XL C/C++ for Linux compiler, it does not support optimization at level 5 for generation of the highest level of optimization nor OpenMP constructs for parallel programming. Click the Download button on the right and select "Community Edition" to download.
You can also obtain the latest versions of the trial and Community Edition of the little endian compiler for Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 16.04, RHEL 7.1, RHEL 7.2, CentOS 7, SLES 12, and SLES 12 SP1 from the public apt-get, yum, and zypper repositories.
