The Weather Company was back in-person at NAB 2022 and we had plenty to talk about
Don’t get us wrong; we love technology.
But after two years of virtual meetings and events, it was nice to feel the energy of a well-attended NAB Show and interact in-person with several of our valued clients. The experience has our team at The Weather Company, an IBM Business, excited to get back on the road to showcase our latest innovations at trade shows and on-site meetings.
One of the event’s highlights was the theater presentation in our booth, which provided an overview of our new solutions and examples from real Max users. Check out the video:
If you weren’t able to attend the show, here’s a quick overview of the technologies we presented in our booth:
Max Velocity – This new browser-based tool increases production by empowering more members of your team to create studio-quality content from any location and at any time. A simplified interface enables even novice users to publish videos with your Max content and assets without needing control-room support.
“Clients [at NAB] were really interested in Max Velocity,” says Alex Ansel, Sales executive for The Weather Company, “and excited about the direction we are taking weather on OTT.”
Max Cloud – The functionality, advanced graphics and rapid production of Max are now available in a security-rich IBM Cloud environment. Share content and collaborate across sister stations in near-real time. You can also deploy redundancy and disaster recovery workflows across your group if a ransomware attack occurs.
Max Alert Live – This new alerting technology offers fully automated watches and warnings that instantly display crucial and potentially life-saving data from the National Weather Service. Rich, engaging graphics match your brand and can be customized by priority and frequency. Streamlined workflows use a Max-based cloud interface so you can control the solution from virtually anywhere.

We look forward to seeing you at next year’s centennial NAB Show!
