Peer-to-peer collaboration
The Global Chief Medical and Health Officer Network is a network for peer-to-peer collaboration of worldwide Chief Medical Officers (CMOs) and Chief Health Officers (CHOs). We are focused on improving workplace and employee health and enhancing the role of business in promoting a Culture of Health and Performance.
The network convenes CMOs and CHOs who are leaders in their field and have leadership responsibility or influence for the Culture of Health and Performance elements across their organizations. It is an invitation-only community.
Our mission
Positively influence health and wellbeing
Every organization is a health organization and can help positively influence health and wellbeing by adopting the principles of a Culture of Health and Performance. This is demonstrated by its four pillars of: employee health, community health, environmental health and consumer health. The mission for the Global Chief Medical and Health Officer Network, driven by its membership, is to:
- Foster a Culture of Health and Performance as a movement for employers, organizations and governments.
- Promote the role and the value of the CMO and CHO and advocate for an increase in the number of organizations worldwide that have a CMO or CHO.
- Provide a community of practice and learning network which includes peer support and a proactive community for colleagues to engage.
- Advance and promote the research and scientific basis for a Culture of Health and Performance.

Established in 2014
The network realizes the potential impact that employers can have on the health of their employees and families. Healthy employees are essential for the success of organizations and their communities. Coming together as a network drives forward movement in a way that individual companies working on their own does not.
