Unless you live under a rug, you have likely heard about blockchain, the technology that is revolutionizing industries by taking out the middleman and creating a transparent, virtually tamper-proof, distributed ecosystem in which participating parties can do business.

In 2017, only $0.40 of every $1 spent in programmatic advertising was paid to publishers selling advertising inventory. But given that an ever-increasing number of digital advertising dollars are moving toward programmatic advertising - a more opaque type of advertising than traditional advertising due to the number of intermediaries and technologies involved - blockchain may be the key to solving for ad fraud, transparency, and billing discrepancies.
