Eligibility

Regular IBM employees are eligible for all benefit programs, except the IBM Employees Stock Purchase Plan, beginning with the first day of employment. Health care coverage (medical, dental and vision) is available for you, your spouse/eligible domestic partner and eligible children and other dependents (documentation supporting eligibility is required). IBM provides a range of options, to allow employees to design a personalized program that meets their personal or family circumstances.
If you are a Retiree Supplemental, benefits do not begin until the 1st of the month following your date of hire.

Enrolling in benefits

Once you're on board at IBM, you'll have the chance to enroll in all the benefit programs for which you are eligible.

If you are beginning your employment with IBM as a result of a strategic outsourcing alliance, merger or acquisition, an IBM HR transition team will assist with your benefits enrollment.
