IMS Administration Tool
IBM® IMS™ Administration Tool centralizes the control of key functions for IMS database administrators, giving you the tools you need to manage IMS DBD and PSB resources.
IMS Database Reorganization Expert
Provides an integrated database reorganization infrastructure for IMS full function databases, reducing maintenance time. Supports the creation, customization, and centralized storage of policies on database exception detection and conditional reorganization.
IMS HALDB Toolkit
Provides features for the improved management and operation of the IMS HALDB environment. Helps reduce administrative costs by providing a range of services to augment the operation and ease the administration of the HALDB environment.
IMS High Performance Image Copy
Provides fast back up and recovery of database data sets using advanced copy technology and extends the capabilities of IMS. Enables high speed database copy and recovery features for the rapid backup and recovery of database data sets. Includes rapid image copy features that reduce the unavailability time of database data sets. Automated operation capabilities takes the database offline before taking a batch image copy and restarts it after the process.
IMS High Performance Load
Provides high speed database loading and includes capabilities not found in the base utilities. Offers extended user control options and exit capabilities. Accepts multiple file input formats.
IMS High Performance Pointer Checker
Provides utilities to help ensure IMS databases are operational and ready for use. Ensures IMS databases have the highest availability by checking for potential problems early and often. Hierarchical Direct (HD) Pointer Checker validates databases, detecting any potential pointer problems and reporting them. HD Tuning Aid evaluates data distribution and setup parameters to help optimize performance.
IMS High Performance Prefix Resolution
Improves database management by simplifying prefix resolution and update tasks. Reduces database reorganization elapsed and CPU time by providing technology to resolve logically related database points fast while reducing resource consumption. Ensures pointer relationships are resolved and ready for production use after logically related databases are loaded or reorganized.
IMS High Performance Unload
Provides high speed database unloading while providing addition capabilities not found in the base utilities. Reduces CPU and run time for certain applications and the unloading of IMS databases. Includes an Application Programming Interface allowing certain customer applications to take advantage of the high speed read engine.
IMS Index Builder
Offers an easy-to-use, one-step procedure for building all IMS indexes, avoiding the need to Image Copy. Provides technology for supporting IMS indexes that can help improve IMS availability and better utilizes system resources. Includes advanced technology for IMS Index recovery, maintenance, and creation. Substantially reduces processing time compared to traditional methods.
IMS Library Integrity Utilities
Helps enhance IMS database validity. Provides a set of utilities designed to validate, compare, map, recover, report, and regenerate a number of IMS libraries needed for operations. Supported libraries include the ACB (Application Control Block), DBD (Data Base Definition), PSB (Program Specification Block), and MFS (Message Format Services) libraries. The utilities are used in conjunction with database maintenance tasks and migration operations, and to prevent accidental misuse in production.
IMS Online Reorganization Facility
Performs a one-step reorganization of IMS databases with minimal impact to database availability. Supports internal logical relationships, secondary indexes, and HALDBs. Provides users with full access to the database during a data reorganization, improves the overall database availability, and reduces planned downtime.
