Their 'always on' environment usually scales up 55,000% during a 'normal' Championships to meet demand and helps deliver real-time, data driven experiences. In 2020, with the building blocks in place, we were able to support Wimbledon reimage new experiences in 8 weeks and rapidly tap into AI capabilities to deliver new and unique fan experiences for the first full, digital Championships.

At a unique moment for the world, Wimbledon wants to provide a time of positive reflection and celebration for sports fan everywhere, maintaining the essence of Wimbledon, high quality and differentiated. Our close partnership, agile processes, tools, techniques and industry expertise has allowed us to collaborate around new concepts. We went from stopping activity on the physical event to a fully digital Championships in 8 weeks. This includes a new hub to celebrate 'The Greatest Championships', exploration of video point by point to provide additional value for fans and new engaging pieces of enhanced content, delivered with AI, only possible with IBM Watson and IBM R&D capabilities.
