Most marketers would tell you that a successful campaign is built off the learned failures of previous efforts. Marketers might spend most of their day working to reach their target audiences, but they’ll spend the rest of their day analyzing campaigns that just didn’t work. It’s not always clear why that happens, but we’ve all had the experience of producing what we thought was a killer campaign only to see it fizzle and die when it met the public. At the same time, some variation of an A/B test that you knocked out in a second will be happily generating conversion after conversion.
Part of the problem is the difficulty of hitting a moving target. Customer behaviors and preferences change so rapidly that it’s hard to keep up. That’s why personalized content, like live video, is becoming so important. When you can actually recognize your customers by name, it’s much easier to keep them engaged and drive them to respond. But knowing their name is one thing. You also want to know who they are, what they like and what interests them. You need the data, insights and analytics that the latest technology can deliver.
We’ll be talking about this, and more, during a special Facebook Live Event on May 18th at 12:00 PM CDT with special guests Stan Phelps and Billee Howard, two prolific authors and influencers in the marketing space. We’ll discuss how marketers can use new ideas and technologies to collect data, understand customer behaviors, and create more personalized experiences. We’ll also be talking about some of the top trends seen and heard at MarTech, a marketing technology conference that we’ll all be attending together this week.
