Power Estimation Tool for 8561 help

Specify the quantity for the features that are installed in your machine. This tool estimates the power consumption and weight for the specified configuration.

Note: The exact power consumption for your machine will vary. The object of the tool is produce an estimation of the power requirements to aid you in planning for your machine installation.

CPC drawer feature

Select the CPC drawer feature, 0655-0659. This feature determines the number of configurable processors.

Power type

Select the power type:

• Bulk Power Assembly (BPA) feature 0640 supports voltages in the range 200-240, 380-415, or 480.
• PDU
  • Feature 0629 supports 200-208V 30/60A
  • Feature 0630 supports 380-415V 32A

Installed Altitude

Specify the altitude in feet. The amount of power required to cool the box changes above 1500, 3100 and 6000 feet.

Earthquake feature

The earthquake bolt down kit is specified by feature 8010 or 8011.

PCIe+ I/O drawers

Select the number of drawers that contain cards. Each PCIe+ I/O drawer can support 16 cards. PCIe+ I/O drawers are specified by feature code 4021.

CPC drawer reserves

Specify the number of reserved CPC drawers. The CPC reserves are specified by feature codes 2271 and 2272.

Memory

Enter the amount of memory ordered for this system not the amount physically installed. Feature codes 1515-1581 define the ordered memory.

Weight

The weight estimate includes the cover set. The frame extensions are included if feature 7942 is installed.
