Creating monitor reports

You can use IBM® Db2® Data Management Console to create monitor reports that help to compare and analyze the original data by displaying information in a graphical format.

Procedure

To create monitor reports:

  1. Access the console.
  2. In the Databases page, click on the connection that you want to work on.
  3. Click the Summary drop-down menu and select Reports.
  4. Click Create report and select the type of report from the list.
    To create an instant report, select On-demand.

    In the Create on-demand report page, complete the following steps:

    1. Enter the name of the instant report to be created.
    2. Select the database.
    3. Click Next.
    4. Select the metrics to be displayed in report.
    5. Select a time range of report.
    6. Click Next.
      The Summary page displays.
    7. Review the report details and click Finish.
      The instant report is listed in the Active tab when it is running. When the report generation is completed, it is listed under the Completed tab.
    To create a scheduled report, select Scheduled.

    In the Create scheduled report page, do the following:

    1. Enter the name of the scheduled report to be created.
    2. Select database(s) to schedule report. You can schedule reports for one or more databases, or choose to receive a report showing usage trends from representative databases in the system.
    3. Click Next.
    4. Select the metrics to be displayed in report.
    5. Select time range of report.
    6. Click Next.
    7. Specify the Start date, Time, and other required details for scheduling the report.
    8. Click Next.
      The Summary page displays.
    9. Review the report details and click Finish.
      The scheduled report is listed in the Active tab.
