Installing Db2 Event Store

To add a Db2® Event Store database to IBM® Cloud Pak for Data, you first prepare your Red Hat® OpenShift® cluster and then install and deploy the database.

Preparing to install Db2 Event Store
Before you install and deploy Db2 Event Store, you should prepare the environment.

Setting up the cluster for Db2 Event Store
If you plan to install Db2 Event Store on IBM Cloud Pak for Data, a cluster administrator must set up the cluster for Db2 Event Store.

Setting up dedicated nodes for your Db2 Event Store deployment
Before you deploy a Db2 Event Store service on Cloud Pak for Data, you must dedicate at least three worker nodes to your database service. The nodes are then used exclusively by the database containers or pods.

Configuring database storage (Db2 Event Store)
You must use the appropriate type of storage for your integrated database. You can configure the storage before you create the database deployment, or when you create the database deployment.

Installing Db2 Event Store
A project administrator can install the Db2 Event Store service on IBM Cloud Pak for Data.

Creating a database deployment on the cluster for Db2 Event Store
You create a database deployment on your cluster from the IBM Cloud Pak for Data web client.
