Refresh 2 of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5

A new version of Watson OpenScalewas released in January 2021.

Assembly version: 3.5.1

This release includes the following changes:

New features

Batch processing: Configure Watson OpenScale to work in batch mode by connecting a custom Watson OpenScale machine learning engine to an Apache Hive database and an Apache Spark analytics engine. Unlike online scoring, where the scoring is done in real-time and the payload data can be logged into the Watson OpenScale data mart, batch processing is done asynchronously. The batch processor reads the scored data and derives various model metrics. This means that millions of transactions can be processed without bringing the data into the data mart.

For details, see Batch processing overview

Bug fixes
This release includes the following fixes:
  • Issue: Explanation fails with an error message: "AIQES3019E: Could not find ProbabilityVector field in the input row of the payload logging table". Explanation fails for SPSS multi-class and binary models after an initial scoring request, which required a second scoring request.

Resolution: The second scoring request is no longer necessary.

Security fixes
This release includes fixes for the following security issues:
  • Fix for Python cryptography vulnerability - CVE-2020-25659
