What's new and changed in Guardium External S-TAP

The External S-TAP® release and subsequent refreshes can include new features, bug fixes, and security updates. Refreshes appear in reverse chronological order, and only the refreshes that contain updates for External S-TAP are shown.

Refresh 6 of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5

A new version of the Guardium External S-TAPservice was released in May 2021.

Assembly version: 11.2.0, 11.3.0

This release includes the following changes:

Bug fix

Issue: Guardium External S-TAPs did not start correctly.

Resolution: Updated STAP_CONFIG_PARTICIPATE_IN_LOAD_BALANCING and STAP_CONFIG_PROXY_DEBUG environment variables in Helm charts to allow External S-TAP to start correctly.

Docker update
Issue: Docker store is deprecated. Docker containers for External S-TAP are now available on Docker hub.

Resolution: Updated the Docker URL entry in the External S-TAP repo.yaml file in Obtaining the installation files for the new location. The new URL is docker.io/ibmcom.

Refresh 3 of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5

A new version of Guardium External S-TAPwas released in January 2021.

The 11.3.0 release of Guardium External S-TAP includes the following features and updates:
Version upgrade
This version of the Guardium External S-TAP service includes support for Guardium 11.3. For details, see the Guardium 11.3 documentation.
Bug fix
This release includes the following fix:

Issue: On the connection status screen, the primary value for secondary collectors always displayed as 2.

Resolution:The primary value for secondary collectors now displays the correct value.

Initial release of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5

A new version of Guardium External S-TAP was released as part of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5.

This release includes the following changes:

New features
Improved integration with the Cloud Pak for Data web client
You can now create and manage your Guardium External S-TAP instances from the Cloud Pak for Data web client.
Support for new target databases
You can use the Guardium External S-TAP to monitor additional databases. For details, see External S-TAP supported platforms on the IBM Support portal.
