What's new and changed in Cognos Analytics

The Cognos® Analytics release and subsequent refreshes can include new features, bug fixes, and security updates. Refreshes appear in reverse chronological order, and only the refreshes that contain updates for Cognos Analytics are shown.

Refresh 2 of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5

A new version of Cognos Analytics was released in January 2021.

Assembly version: 3.5.2

This release includes the following changes:

New features

You must install Version 3.5.2 of the Cognos Analytics service if you want to install the service on Red Hat® OpenShift® 4.6.

This release provides software version 11.1.7 Fix Pak 2 of Cognos Analytics.

Bug fixes

This release includes the following fix:

  • Issue: CSV based reports cannot be rerun after a Cloud Pak for Data restart.

    Resolution: CSV based reports can now be rerun after a Cloud Pak for Data restart.

Initial release of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5

A new version of Cognos Analytics was released as part of Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.5.

This release includes the following changes:

Cognos Analytics now supports connections to the following additional databases:

Upgrade using the instance upgrade from version 3.2.2
If you are starting with Cognos Analytics on Cloud Pak for Data Version 3.2.2, you can use the instance upgrade from version 3.2.2 to upgrade to version 3.5.
