zAware Fix Pack Information

Troubleshooting


Problem

I want to know IBM® zAware fix pack information currently available on Fix Central.
ATTENTION: IBM zAware is not officially supported on z16 hardware, but might be operational by using the Edge Browser.
FP22  - You might install by using the Edge browser when the IBM zAware LPAR is on z16 hardware.
FP21 - You might install by using the Edge browser when the IBM zAware LPAR is on z16 hardware. 
No other fix packs were test installed with z16 hardware.
You must use the Edge Browser to install.  After IBM zAware container boots, you can use Firefox, Chrome, or Edge to log in to the IBM zAware WebUI.  If you run into issues by using Firefox as your browser, try Edge.
Note:  IBM zAware is a feature of IBM Z Operations Analytics (IZOA) V4.1.  IZOA V4.1 announced EOS (End of Support), which is 31 March 2023.  The IBM zAware functionality is included in IBM Z Anomaly Analytics with Watson V5.1.

Resolving The Problem

It is best to install the latest fix pack available to get the most up-to-date fixes and security updates.
IBM has up to 3 fix packs on Fix Central.  Expired fix packs are not available and there can be less than 3 fix packs on Fix Central.  The "vendor record expire date" is the date that this fix pack expires.  You can continue to run with the vendor record expired, but if you reboot, you cannot start IBM® zAware, and you need to install a newer fix pack.
